With a Victorian armorial bookplate (Chichester Gould May) and 1885 gift inscription, providing appealing period provenance.
Complete and well-preserved example. Spine ends rubbed with light fraying; corners worn; cloth shows mild mottling and shelf wear. Hinges intact; text clean with scattered foxing typical of era. A sound, unrestored copy with a distinguished early ownership history.
